LOG OFF THE INTERNET AND Truly immerse yourself in the sonoran desert.

"Bikepacking" is at the forefront of almost every single thing we do here at Blue Dog Bicycles. It's the fiber of what makes this bike shop. Whether you want to know about fully maximalized rigs with every bag imaginable or packing lightweight for singletrack excursions like the Pima County Ultracruise or the Arizona Trail Race. We do it fully. You toe the line of any multi-day event and you'll see us there hikin' our bikes right next to you. When the shop closes up, we retreat to the desert for overnight campouts. We host both non-competitive and competitive multi-day rides all throughout the year.

We stock bags from...

Roadrunner Bags

Oveja Negra

Revelate Designs

Surly Bikes

Salsa Cycles

Apidura

Porcelain Rocket

and more!

Yearly bikepack events we host...

The Pima County Ultracruise - Spring

 - As unapologetically routed as bike tours come. This is a 200 or 400 mile beatdown. Arizona's premiere bikepacking race!

The Sunset Limited - Fall

 - A self-supported all-road adventure. Pavement and gravel from Tucson to Las Cruces, New Mexico!

The Great Cowtown Campout - Winter

 - An all-inclusive introduction to the idea of camping off of your bike. Mostly flat 40 miles out to a unique ranch near the US/Mexican border.

THE PIMA COUNTY ULTRACRUISE

The Pima County Ultracruise is a bikepacking ITT that we host every spring. Last year we had a comfort station available to all riders that Surly Bikes sponsored. This adventure starts and ends at Blue Dog Bicycles so riders can leave their cars in our parking lot. The goal of this route is to go up and over every mountain range surrounding the Tucson Valley. Finishers receive an engraved machete.
